WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 11, 2016) – Spirit Cruises, the quintessential experience of Washington D.C. by way of water, announced today the kickoff event for its Spirit of Mount Vernon Excursion Cruises. On April 23 and 24, cruise-goers can enjoy a free continental breakfast featuring grits from George Washington’s Mount Vernon Gristmill, and all guests will be entered into a drawing for two tickets to the Mount Vernon Spring Wine Festival (May 13-15). Additionally, the first 50 guests each day will receive a pair of Spirit sunglasses and a George Washington election button. A colonial fifer will greet guests at the Mount Vernon dock on April 23, and “George Washington’s niece” will greet them on April 24.
