President & CEO, Julie Chase
Chase Strategies is built on more than 30 years navigating the communications industry and has evolved from our first iteration, Chase Communications, which Julie Chase founded in 1997 and grew until it was acquired in 2017. We then formed ChasePR, a different name, but all the same strategic counsel and execution through media outreach and social media, marketing, public affairs, crisis representation, media training, website design, and events. Assessing our body of work, our long-standing clients, and the seasoned advisory we offer, we advanced again to a more precise brand, better underscoring the strengths we bring to each and every client.
Today, Julie continues to travel between the company’s dual headquarters in San Francisco and Washington, DC, and is actively involved in the strategy and day-to-day tactics of every client.
A native of Washington, DC, Julie first moved to San Francisco in 1991 and became the executive editor and associate publisher of Commercial Property Guide, an investment property publication. In 1993, she opened the San Francisco office of Belgravia Capital, a commercial mortgage banking company, and later co-founded ePlanning, an online financial planning company and broker-dealer.
Determined to bring a better voice to real estate and finance, she began her career in public relations at Laurie Chase & Company in San Francisco, where she developed business and led multiple corporate accounts.
Julie is deeply committed to both the DC and Bay Area communities. She is a minority owner of the women’s professional soccer team USL Super League DC Power FC. She serves on the boards of The V Foundation for Cancer Research and QL+, and is a member of the Bay Area Council, The Economic Club of Washington, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and American News Women’s Club. She was on the board of Enterprise for High School Students, Leadership High School, San Francisco Architectural Heritage, American Liver Foundation, NAIOP, The Belden Club, and CREW. She has previously served as a committee member to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Washington, as well as Lombardi Cancer Center.
Julie, a daily runner, holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Georgetown University and a minor in art history, as well as a Certificate from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
