  • Articulate the COA position on national healthcare issues and increase the awareness of community oncology and its role among professionals, patients, the public, the cancer community and the industry

  • Secured placements in national media, local media in key legislators’ districts and healthcare policy publications

  • Ongoing media relations and op-ed program

RESULTS

  • Placed stories, OpEds and Letters to the Editor in national, local, trade media, including the Wall Street Journal

  • Established key members as source and KOL’s for national media and testimony before House and Senate committees

  • Publicized crisis in cancer care§Brought several cancer related bills before House and Senate§Secured a Demonstration Project for inclusion in the 2010 Affordable Care Act healthcare reform bill
